Watch This Space
Earlier this afternoon, we did learn't a little bit about the science of how Earth formulated. We first wrote the things we already knew about Earth before watching the video -on the last slide- to add to the list of things we didn't know before. To be honest most of the things included in the video were things I already knew, so this was just like a reminder for me.

My Cultural Patterns
I'm half Samoan and half African, so I chose two patterns instead of just one. The reason I've chosen this blue pattern is because it reminds me of a beautiful dress my mum made me, with a similar pattern and colour.
I don't know much about the African culture, but I really liked this pattern. The orange and red colours remind me of the dirt in Africa. I also really liked the shapes, it's not just lines but more like dots and dashes.

𝔸𝕣𝕥 𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕖𝕩𝕡𝕠 - 𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕞 𝟜 𝕚𝕟𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕣𝕪
On Friday we had the whole school walk around though classes admiring the art for our inquiry theme, art alive. I've never had a school art expo so this was a new experience for me. Every piece of art was beautiful and unique.
We first went though team 4. Their classes were full of beautiful pacific patterns from Samoa, Niue and a few more islands. After viewing team 4's art works we went towards team 1.
There was a big difference of the art from the year 7's and 8's compared to the year 1's and 2's, team 1 had simple art but they were master pieces of colour. Some of the art they did was better than things I could do at their age.
Personally my favourite art area was creative space. They did digital art, I always saw them working on bits and pieces of their art and during the expo I finally got to see the full art piece.
Walking though team 3 we saw lots of admirable art. Like every other team we saw their art was amazing.
In team 2 we saw multiple art works, there were very nicely made hibiscus flowers, more pacific patterns and elephants with Indian patterns scattered on the elephants. I found everything they made beautiful.
Everyone made great art works, I admired each and every art piece I saw. I loved seeing how much effort people put into their work. Good job everyone! :)

As I saw it... Captain Cook's arrival, crew, and the cause of the deaths.
Today during the morning period all of Room 4 learned about the arrival of Captain Cook and his crew, and how they murdered some people the same day they came. I worked together with my buddy, Madi to complete this task.

Paul Bunyan
We recently looked at another myth. This time we looked at a Tall Tale from America. This story, is about a lumberjack who is really tall and has done many great things. This includes the creation of many great land marks, like the Grand Canyon, Great Lakes and 10,000 lakes! Me and my buddy, Zaeeda worked together to complete this work task, on Paul Bunyan. We found this quite interesting and a bit difficult, but we made it in the end.

Cambodian Myth - Match 'em up activity
Today we are learning about the Cambodian Myth of lightning, thunder, and rain with Mrs Iloa. We watched a short video about the Myth. Shortly after watching the video we had to put the right picture and words in the box they belong in. Under the match 'em activity I wrote what happened after they got their gifts, and why its the myth of lightning, thunder and rain.
