Provocation: Watch this Space

During today's extension lesson Miss West gave us all a scenario about Earth becoming uninhabitable in 12 months. We had to think about what and how we would do thing to leave the planet as soon as possible. On each slide was a question we had all answered in our own ways with the knowledge we have. The different colours represent a different person's answer. If you're looking for my answers they're in light purple with black highlights.

On the last slide is our different project ideas. Me and Aye wanted to do theories on Mars and Earth, and possibly our own theory on what would happen to Earth if we were to leave.

Watch This Space

Earlier this afternoon, we did learn't a little bit about the science of how Earth formulated. We first wrote the things we already knew about Earth before watching the video -on the last slide- to add to the list of things we didn't know before. To be honest most of the things included in the video were things I already knew, so this was just like a reminder for me.

Immersion Assembly - Term 2

We're back to school for Term 2, and we started it with an amazing Immersion Assembly! The teachers themselves produced the plays, slides and videos they presented. Everything each Team's teachers presented revolved around the topic of space, since this term's topic is 'Watch this space'.

Team 5's teacher's put on an interesting and informative play. They based it on 'the magic school bus' and went to a few planets. Each planet they visited they told us a few facts too, like Jupiter has 79 moons or Mercury is the hottest planet. Some of the facts they told I already knew but it was a good little refresher. In fact I'm honestly quite intrigued and excited to learn about this! :)

The other team's also have interesting things to learn about I hope they enjoy it. I can't forget about the teacher's too, they all did a good job with their little performances.
