Today while the year 8's where at tech, we had our rotations. For our Te Reo rotation we learn't how to ask who your friends, teachers, and parents are.

Admirable Algebra 2

 

Today for maths our main focus was algebra. We also did a bit of angles for maths. I found this task quite enjoyable because it was difficult and a new thing for me. I'm glad I struggled with this task because I won't have been able to learn and understand it if I didn't make a few mistakes. 

Plastic pollution

For this week we read about plastic pollution, and the effect it has on life, specifically marine life. I quite enjoyed the text that we read, I learned a lot of where the pollution comes from, what it does to us as well as other creatures, and how we can help. Make sure you use the 3 R's it helps more then you think!

Create task : Design a poster with appropriate images and captions to highlight the main causes and effects of plastic pollution

 

DLO - Cambodian myth and legend

This picture was the start of my animation of the Cambodian myth and legend of how rain, thunder and lightning came to be. This photo shows Lok Ta before he was about to gather his pupils to challenge them so he knew who to reward.

It is unfortunate that I couldn't finish my DLO on time, but next time I'll try to give you a proper animation.  

Te Reo - Lesson 7 - Kei te pehea te ahua o te rangi?

Today for Te Reo we learnt how to ask "What is the weather like today?" and how to reply to that for example I can reply to that question by saying something like "kei te whiti te ra te ahua o te rangi which means the weather is hot.
